Read your comics panel by panel, free
Upload a comic you own and read it one panel at a time, each panel framed to fill your screen, on a phone, a tablet or a computer. Panel view is free on every issue you upload. It is in beta, and it reads without narration or subtitles.
How panel view works
Pick Panel view when you upload an issue. Our panel finder splits every page into its panels and puts them in reading order, left to right for comics and right to left for manga. The reader then shows one panel at a time, blown up to fill the screen. Tap, click or press an arrow key for the next panel, and switch to the whole page whenever you like.
What is free
Panel view costs nothing, on every issue and every plan. It comes with the rest of the free shelf: 1 GB of hosting, about 20 issues, and your library and your place synced on every device you sign in on. No card, nothing to install.
Your files, your shelf
Bring the CBR, CBZ, PDF and EPUB files you already own. They land on your own private shelf and nowhere else, and you can delete any of them at any time.
What beta means here
Panel view reads without narration or subtitles: the words stay in the art, the way they were lettered. An unusual layout can come out split wrong, and the whole page is always one switch away. Webtoons skip it, because a vertical strip already scrolls one panel after another.
When you want more
Premium panels give an issue a more careful split and reading order, plus subtitles, for credits. Voices go further: every line performed by a full cast, with the drawn sound effects and a score. Both are priced per issue, and you see the price before you buy. Hear a sample →
Straight answers
How do I read a comic panel by panel?
Upload the issue to your free shelf and pick Panel view. Every page is split into its panels, and the reader shows them one at a time, framed to fill the screen. Tap, click or press an arrow key for the next one.
Is there a free alternative to ComiXology Guided View?
Yes. Panel view plays your own comics one panel at a time, much like ComiXology's Guided View, and it is free on every issue you upload. It is in beta, and it reads without narration or subtitles.
Can I use guided view on my own comics?
Yes, that is what panel view is for. Upload the CBR, CBZ, PDF or EPUB files you own, pick Panel view, and read them panel by panel in any browser. They stay private, on your own shelf.
Is panel view really free?
Yes, on every issue and every plan. An issue in panel view takes up shelf space like any upload, and the free shelf holds 1 GB, about 20 issues, with no card. Voices are the paid upgrade, priced per issue and shown before you buy.
Does panel view read the comic aloud?
No. Panel view is the art alone, with no narration and no subtitles. Voices are the upgrade: every line performed by a full cast, with sound effects and a score, priced per issue before you buy.
Does panel view work with manga and webtoons?
Manga, yes: its panels play right to left, the way they were printed. Manhwa and webtoon strips scroll instead, because a vertical strip already shows one panel after another.
What if a page is split wrong?
Panel view is in beta, and an unusual layout can trip it up. Switch to the whole page at any time, or pick Premium panels for a more careful split and reading order, with subtitles, for credits.
Can I read panel by panel on my phone?
Yes. The reader works in any modern browser on iPhone, Android, tablets and computers, and your place follows you from one to the next.
